সৌদি আরবের আছির প্রদেশে সড়ক দুর্ঘটনায় বাংলাদেশি নিহত হয়েছে। নিহতের নাম সোহাগ মিয়া। সোহাগ মিয়া ব্রাহ্মণবাড়িয়া জেলার কসবা উপজেলার শিমরাইল গ্রামের মো: সফি আলম এর বড় ছেলে। গতকাল ২৪ নভেম্বর শুক্রবার স্থানীয় সময় ৫ টার দিকে সৌদি আরবের আছির প্রদেশের মা’দ্দা এলাকা থেকে খামিস মোশায়েতে আসার পথে এই দুর্ঘটনা ঘটে।

Safi Alam of Shimrail village under Kasba upazila of Brahmanbaria district. The incident happened on Friday, 24 November, at Khamis Mosaite, from Madinah area in Saudi Arabia's Assi province, local time 5pm.

ঘটনাস্থলে মোঃ সোহাগ মিয়া মারা যান। পরে পুলিশ ঘটনাস্থলে পৌঁছে লাশটি উদ্ধার করে মা’দ্দা জেনারেল হাসপাতালের হিমঘরে রাখে। ঘটনাস্থল থেকে মোহাম্মদ ওসমান নামে একজন প্রত্যক্ষদর্শী জানান, আছিল প্রদেশ থেকে ফেরার পথে একটি ট্রেলারকে ওভার টেক করতে চাইলে ট্রেলারটি চাপা দিলে গাড়ি উল্টে ঘটনাস্থলে প্রাণ হারান মোঃ সোহাগ মিয়া।

Mohammad Osman, an eyewitness, told from the scene that on the way back from the province, when the trailer was pressurized for wanting to overload a trailer, he died on the spot, Mohammad Sohag Mia.

মোঃ সোহাগ মিয়া তিন ভাই দুই বোনের মধ্যে সবার বড়। সোহাগ পরিবারের একমাত্র উপার্জনক্ষম ব্যক্তি বলে পারিবারিক সূত্রে জানা যায়।
